Gear Up for Your Daily Drive: The ev¹ Accessories Overview
At Strutt, we believe your personal mobility platform should adapt to your life. Over the past few months, we’ve received incredible feedback from our beta testers regarding how they use their ev¹ in the real world. You asked for more ways to customize, carry, and create, and our design team has been working hard to make that a reality.
Today, we are thrilled to share with you a first look at the ev¹ accessory ecosystem. Our goal is to build a system that is intuitive, reliable, and endlessly versatile. With these accessories nearing final production, here is a breakdown of what you can expect when the ev¹ officially ships.
The Armrest Interface
If you’ve looked closely at the ev¹, you may have noticed four screw holes on the armrest. This is your blank canvas. We designed this interface to let you customize the space you interact with most, starting with two core accessories.
The Cupholder & Phone Holder
- Universal Sizing: The ev¹ cupholder is designed to match standard car cupholder dimensions. This means you instantly have access to a massive online market of third-party cupholder trays, expanding your functional space far beyond just holding a coffee.

- Creator-Ready: For the content creators out there, removing the cupholder reveals a base plate equipped with standard 3/8” and 1/4”-20 through holes. You can easily mount camera gear, lighting, or microphone arms directly to your chair.

- The Phone Holder: Designed with three adjustment points, it allows you to fine-tune both vertical and horizontal viewing angles. Crucially, it folds entirely inwards to ensure completely clear, unobstructed transfers.
The Universal Mount
Sometimes the simplest designs are the most powerful. The Universal Mount is a sturdy 22 mm steel tube designed to hold light accessories.
- Endless Compatibility: We specifically chose a 22 mm diameter because it is the standard for bicycle accessories. You can easily attach third-party bike-style clamp mounts for GoPros, headlights, cooling fans, bells, extra cupholders, iPad arms, or even umbrellas.

- Built-in Grip: If you choose not to mount anything to it, the steel tube serves as a highly comfortable, secure handle for use when driving quickly or navigating challenging terrain.
The ev¹ Storage System: Effortless Daily Carry
A great storage system needs to feel safe, reliable, and intuitive. We designed the ev¹ storage bags to handle everything from quick errands to all-day adventures, making loading and unloading completely effortless.
- Seat Storage: Tucked neatly beneath the seat, this is the perfect hidden compartment for your ev¹ charger, adjustment tools, or a portable Bluetooth speaker.
- Side Storage: Designed symmetrically to fit either the left or right side of the armrest (available as a single unit or a pair). It’s ideal for everyday quick-access items like a phone, purse, sunglasses, water bottle, or a first-aid kit.
- Rear Storage: Built around a durable metal frame that attaches directly to the backrest, this spacious bag allows for incredibly quick installation and removal. It is roomy enough to hold at least one extra battery alongside groceries or spare clothing. Plus, it acts as an easy-to-carry bag once you leave the chair.

Pro-Tip: All of our storage bags feature integrated daisy chain webbing. This allows you to easily hook or hang carabiners and extra gear, like an extra water bottle or everyday tools, across different storage areas. (Note: The rear storage bag is also fully compatible with the push handle we currently have in development!)
